For the MVP, Grocery Savvy uses email and password only.

Create an Account

1. Open the Grocery Savvy app and tap Get Started.
2. Enter your email address, create a password, and add a display name.
3. Tap Create Account.
4. Check your inbox for a verification email and enter the one‑time code (OTP) in the app to confirm.

Email Verification (OTP)

After signing up with email, you'll receive a verification message with a one‑time code. Enter the code in the app to activate your account. If you don't see the email:

• Check your spam or junk folder.
• Make sure you entered the correct email address.
• Tap Resend Verification in the app to get a new link.

Add Your Preferences

Once verified, you can optionally choose dietary preferences (tags and alerts) to help you spot foods that match what you care about.

You can update your display name, email, and dietary preferences anytime in Settings.
