Browse and save recipes in Grocery Savvy, then add ingredients to your list or add recipes to your meals.
Overview
Grocery Savvy's recipe feature helps you browse recipes, save favorites, and turn recipes into shoppable items. In the MVP, users can browse and save recipes from the Grocery Savvy recipe library.
Browsing Recipes
Explore recipes from within the app:
- Search — Find recipes by name or keywords.
- Meal Type filters — Browse by meal type (for example, breakfast, lunch, or dinner).
- Preference filters — Filter recipes by tags such as vegan, gluten-free, or keto to match what you want to cook.
Saving Recipes
When you find a recipe you like:
- Open the recipe details page.
- Tap the heart icon to save it as a favorite.
- Return to saved recipes later from the Recipes experience.
Recipe Details
Each recipe details page can include:
- Recipe image and description
- Time, servings, and difficulty
- Dietary tags
- Nutrition per serving
- Ingredients and instructions tabs
Adding Recipe Ingredients to a List
From a recipe details page, tap Add Ingredients to review ingredients before adding them to your grocery list.
In the Add Ingredients screen, you can:
- Select all ingredients or only the ones you need
- Review and adjust quantities
- Add the selected ingredients to your Grocery List
Using Recipes with Meals
Recipes also work with Meal Planning. From the recipe details page, tap Add to Meals to add a recipe to your meal plan.
