Manage privacy preferences, legal documents, data export, and account deletion in Grocery Savvy.

Overview

The Privacy screen in Grocery Savvy lets you manage privacy-related app preferences, view legal documents, export your data, and request account deletion.

For MVP, this page focuses on user controls available in the app. For full legal terms, refer to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Accessing Privacy Settings

  1. Open the Home screen.
  2. Tap the Settings icon in the header (top-right).
  3. Tap Privacy.

You can also review the general Settings flow in Profile Settings.

Privacy Controls (MVP)

In the Data Collection section, you can manage these preferences:

  • Usage Analytics — Share anonymous usage data to help improve the app.
  • Crash Reports — Share crash diagnostics to help us fix issues faster.
  • Personalized Recommendations — Use your preferences to personalize recipe suggestions.
  • Product Updates — Receive updates about new features and improvements.

The Privacy screen also includes a shortcut to Edit Dietary Preferences.

From the Legal Documents section, you can open:

These documents open in-app and describe how Grocery Savvy handles your data and the terms for using the app.

Data Export

From the Data Management section, you can use Download My Data to export your information.

For security, the app may ask you to confirm your password before completing a data export.

Delete All My Data

You can permanently delete your account and data from the Privacy screen using Delete All My Data.

Before deletion is processed, the app asks you to:

  • Confirm the action
  • Re-enter your password for security
